Semore Service Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Use ("These Terms") set forth the conditions and procedures for using semore.net and its subdomains (shop.semore.net, visit.semore.net, etc. — hereinafter the "Service") operated by Semore (세모레, hereinafter the "Company" or "Semore"), and govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "User" means any natural person or legal entity who agrees to These Terms and uses the Service provided by the Company.
- "Bundle" means a curated package of K-product / K-experience / K-tour / Hybrid offerings assembled by the Company.
- "AI Agent" means the Company's automated system that interprets the User's natural-language requests and recommends or composes Bundles.
- "Mandate VC" means a payment authorization delegation credential conforming to the W3C Verifiable Credentials 1.1 standard, issued and signed by the Company and used as evidence in the event of a dispute.
- "Reverse Direct Purchase" means a transaction in which a User located outside of Korea purchases goods or services from a Korean business operator.
Article 3 (Publication, Effect, and Amendment of These Terms)
- The Company shall publish These Terms in the footer of its cybermall's initial screen and at the
/legal/termspath so that Users can readily access them. - The Company may amend These Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (ECCPA), and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (ICNA / the "Network Act").
- When amending These Terms, the Company shall post a notice on the main screen of the Service at least 7 days before the effective date (or 30 days before in the case of changes that are disadvantageous to Users), specifying the effective date and the reasons for the amendment, and shall, where feasible, separately notify existing Users by email.
- If a User does not express an objection by the effective date of the amended Terms, the User shall be deemed to have consented.
Article 4 (Application for and Acceptance of Service Use)
- The User shall agree to These Terms and the Privacy Policy and apply for the Service in accordance with the procedures established by the Company.
- The Company may refuse to accept an application for use, or restrict use after the fact, in any of the following cases:
- The applicant is a minor under 14 years of age who has applied without the consent of a legal guardian
- The applicant has used another person's identity or has entered false information
- The application is a re-application made to circumvent a prior restriction on use
- There is a concern that the application may violate laws or public order and morals
Article 5 (Provision of the Service)
- The Company provides the following services:
- AI Agent-based recommendation and sale of K-product / K-experience / K-tour / Hybrid Bundles
- Domestic direct shipping and international Reverse Direct Purchase shipping to the EU, Japan, the United States, and other regions
- Reservations for tourism and experiences, and provision of digital content licenses
- Mandate VC-based payment processing and dispute handling
- Customer inquiries and multilingual customer support (English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish)
- Certain parts of the Service may be provided in the capacity of a mail-order intermediary (ECCPA §20), in which case the Company shall disclose this separately on each relevant transaction page. In intermediated transactions, the Company is not a party to the contract and is not responsible for the contents of the goods or services.
- The Company may modify the contents of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and shall provide prior notice of any such modification.
Article 6 (Suspension of the Service)
- The Company may temporarily suspend the provision of the Service in any of the following cases:
- Scheduled or emergency maintenance, repair, or replacement of equipment
- Service interruptions by third-party providers (Cloudflare, WithReach, Stripe, etc.)
- Acts of God, power outages, cyber attacks, or statutorily mandated measures
- The Company shall provide prior notice of any suspension; where prior notice is not feasible, the Company shall provide notice after the fact.
Article 7 (Obligations of the User)
- The User shall not engage in any of the following acts:
- Misappropriation of another person's information or entry of false information
- Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service (scraping, automated bots, DDoS, etc.)
- Infringement of copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Posting of obscene, violent, or discriminatory expressions
- Acts that violate applicable laws
- The User shall not share their payment instruments or account information with any third party.
Article 8 (Obligations of the Company)
- The Company shall use its best efforts to provide a stable and continuous Service to Users in compliance with applicable laws and These Terms.
- The Company shall safeguard Users' personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); details are governed by the Privacy Policy.
- The Company does not store or pass card numbers (PAN) or security codes (CVV) through its own systems and processes payments solely under tokenization arrangements with PCI-DSS-certified PSPs.
Article 9 (Payment)
- Users may pay using methods made available by the Company, including credit cards, debit cards, account transfers, and electronic payments (simple-pay).
- For transactions involving international shipping, payment shall be made in the displayed currency (such as KRW or USD), and the exchange rate shall be the rate applied by the PSP at the time of payment.
- Customs duties, import taxes, value-added tax, and similar charges may be imposed separately under the laws of the importing country. In certain countries, the Company prepays such charges (via IOSS / DDP) to minimize the recipient's burden.
Article 10 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)
The User's rights of withdrawal of subscription and refund are governed by Article 17 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (ECCPA §17) and the Company's Refund Policy.
Article 11 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- Copyrights in content created by the Company (brand logos, UI designs, AI Agent responses, curation copy, etc.) belong to the Company or to the rightful owners.
- Copyrights in content provided by Users (such as reviews and inquiries) belong to the Users, and the Company holds a non-exclusive license to use such content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Service.
- K-experience / K-tour digital content and IP-licensed products are subject to the usage conditions set forth in separate agreements with the relevant rights holders.
Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)
- The Company shall not be liable for any failure to provide the Service due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, riots, or interruptions of service by telecommunications providers.
- The Company shall not be liable for any service-use impairment attributable to the User.
- With respect to transactions provided in the capacity of a mail-order intermediary, the Company shall not be liable for the contents of the goods or services where the disclosure required under ECCPA §20 ② has been made.
Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)
- Disputes regarding the interpretation and application of These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Lawsuits arising out of disputes between the Company and a User shall be subject to the court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
- The Company first recommends mediation through external dispute resolution bodies, including the Korea Consumer Agency (KCA) (1372) and the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee (kdrc.kr).
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall take effect on April 26, 2026.
